Did it ever occur to you that there is something seriously wrong with the Gregorian calendar, which is the calendar used by almost everyone and every culture on the planet? It works fine for providing a unique digital date for any day of the year, and it keeps the months of the year in precise alignment with the seasons of the year, so that festivals and celebrations like Christmas and Easter always occur at the same time of year. But there is a troubling disconnection between the Gregorian calendar and important & memorable planetary events like the lunar cycle and the equinoxes & solstices.
It is for this reason that many cultures around the globe still regularly consult a second calendar, which in many cases is a luni-solar calendar, often referred to as an agricultural calendar. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a device, an app for instance, which allows you to easily compare and consult various useful and fascinating calendars?
